Important amendments in pension rules, family pension limited to 10 years, voluntary retirement will be penalized

Islamabad: It is important news for federal government employees that Finance Division has made three important amendments in the pension rules of federal employees on the recommendation of Pay and Pension Commission 2020.
According to the office memorandum, in case of death or incapacity of the spouse, the remaining eligible family members have been limited to a maximum of 10 years of pension. In case of general family pension will be given up to 10 years or till the child attains the age of 21 years.
Under the amendment made in Special Family Pension, in case of death or incapacity of the pensioner’s spouse, the family members will get pension up to 25 years, if the son or daughter of the pensioner is disabled, then this pension will be for life. For all ranks of Forces and Civil Armed Forces, the rate of pension has been increased by 50% for existing pensioners.
This pension can be transferred to the eligible heirs. According to the third memo, the employees who take voluntary retirement will be penalized. I will face deduction, the pension will be deducted at the rate of 3% with effect from the date of retirement. The monthly gross pension will be reduced by 3% for remaining service up to the age of 60 years from this date, subject to an upper limit of 20%.
A formal notification of these amendments has been issued, OM has been sent to all Ministries and Divisions for implementation of these amendments, the implementation of these amendments will be immediate.

Kot Addu: No officer including Commissioner, Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab showed any interest in activating Kot Addu district.
Kot Addu: Civil society, lawyers community, journalist community have demanded from Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to fully activate Kot Addu district.
